Sugden Masterclass SPA-4 // New / Solid State Stereo Power Amplifier / 75wpc
$7,250The Sugden Masterclass SPA-4 is the kind of power amplifier that makes you stop thinking about gear and start paying attention to music. Its Class A circuit — the same DNA as the mono MPA-4 — runs warm and unhurried, rendering transients with authority rather than aggression. Where some solid-state amps impose a clinical edge on the midrange, the SPA-4 stays remarkably composed, coaxing texture from strings and breath from vocals. The fully balanced topology adds a low-noise foundation that lets the quieter passages emerge intact. Control is real here, not euphonic softening — bass lines stay articulate even as the soundstage opens wide.
