Not every piece through our listening room earns a nickname, but sometimes a piece will strike us for one reason or another. Meet The Freak – well Freq, actually, as in frequency response. If you were reading the specs, and thought 0Hz-200kHz must have been a typo, it's not. The Sansui G-6000 can handle frequencies far lower than we could ever hear, and high notes beyond the range of even a dolphin. A system is as good as its worst component, so if you really want to hear the true frequency range of your system, the amplifier section in this G-6000 isn't going to be your bottleneck. The back corners of the cabinet have earned their stripes, but when you hear it, you'll freak.

The Sansui G-6000 DC receiver, like Sansui's entire G-line of DC receivers, incorporates Sansui's unique new DC amplifier circuitry, and delivers music reproduction so superb you will actually hear the difference. With Sansui's new technology you get better low frequency response. It extends all the way down to zero Hz (DC), from main-in. That's one reason it's called a DC receiver. You also get better high frequency response. It goes all the way up to 200,000 Hz, from main-in. Just try to find another receiver with frequency response this wide. The Sansui G-6000 DC receiver is much more than its extraordinary amplifier circuitry. You also get fuller and faster response to musical transients, as well as a superb FM section. Enjoy tuning with excellent sensitivity, selectivity and signal-to-noise ratio, virtually without distortion. The G-6000 also gives you high-technology protection circuitry that keeps both your speakers and receiver safe, always it offers perfectly positioned and highly accurate power, tuning and signal meters. And human engineering, for greatest easy-of-operation. The G-6000 is also elegantly styled with a beautiful simulated walnut grain finish.
