Vintage Mcintosh MR55 A // AM/FM Stereo Tube Tuner / Custom Restoration

The MR55 came with a dull, textured gold anodized face that always felt overly dated to us. So, we decided to see what would happen if we buffed and polished it out. All we can say is that the results speak for themselves. We've got over 30 hrs into this custom restoration. All of the tubes have been tested (strong of course), the FM has been aligned, the face has been buffed, polished & painted, and the cabinet has been sanded down and beautifully refinished with a pre-catalyzed satin lacquer to give it a gorgeous, durable finish. This is by far the best looking MR55 we've ever seen.
