The Accuphase DP-81L, accompanied by a D/A converter compatible with three sampling frequencies, employs a pioneering 20-bit discrete conversion method, ensuring exceptional performance with ultra-low distortion and reduced quantization noise. The independent digital filter, low-pass filter, and electrical isolation from the D/A converter work together in symphony. The unit automatically switches between three sampling frequencies to minimize noise and jitter. Offering optical fiber and coaxial cable inputs, noise shaper for quantization noise reduction, de-emphasis for high-quality CD playback, remote volume control, RCA and XLR-type output terminals, comprehensive shielding, and a stylish gold-style finish with natural Persimmon sideboards.

- Liner Notes
The DP-81L released alongside a D/A converter compatible with three sampling frequencies. It's a groundbreaking 20-bit discrete method converter, a departure from the usual bit addition or subtraction. This unique approach results in outstanding performance, with an incredibly low 0.0005% distortion factor and reduced quantization noise. The digital filter is independent and features excellent attenuation. A low-pass filter eliminates unwanted bands. There's electrical isolation between the digital filter and D/A converter, enhancing performance. It automatically switches between three sampling frequencies (48 kHz, 44.1 kHz, 32 kHz), reducing out-of-band noise and jitter. It has both optical fiber and coaxial cable input options. A noise shaper reduces quantization noise audibly. The DP-81L can play high-quality CDs with de-emphasis. The output level is set to eliminate the need for amplification, and there's a discrete push-pull DC servo connection system. You can control the volume remotely with the included Remote Commander. It offers two RCA-type output terminals and one XLR-type balanced output terminal. The digital and analog circuits are well shielded, with dedicated transformers to prevent interference. It's built to minimize external radiation and has a sleek gold-style finish with a natural Persimmon sideboard.
