Vintage Mcintosh C22 Original // 1968 Tube Preamp / Restored And Upgraded

If you know, you know. And if you don't, the original C22 is the holy grail of McIntosh preamps. This example, circa 1968, was a true survivor - spotless inside and out. But for us, good enough, isn't. We did a full “Aural upgrade” to make it the best sounding C22 we’ve heard yet. We've rebuilt the signal path with Mundorf Supreme caps, rebuilt the filter cans, and upgraded the lamps to LED. We even replaced both the inner and outer glass faceplates. Nothing is too good for a MKi C22. This incredible McIntosh find can be auditioned in our showroom, currently paired with a fully restored MC240, driving a set of Klipschorns with a full Crites loadout. The photos speak for themselves, but a listen is superlative.
