What a pair! Here's an incredible example of the original JBL Jubal (later badged simply as the L65) - hard to find, yet rare as hen's teeth in this condition. Because the L65 is one of only two models that used the famed "crystal slot" tweeters, many were cannibalized. Yet, from the wood, to the grilles, to the fully-intact original glass top, you'd be forgiven for wondering if we picked these up from Marty McFly. We did lightly refinish the cabinets to address some light scratches, and we replaced the woofer surrounds which had stiffened with age, but otherwise these are completely original. Bragging rights included.

- Liner Notes
JBL has used art to achieve art. By employing the art of design and craftsmanship, the art of sound reproduction is heightened. The most relevant criteria for a loudspeaker system are four: efficiency, frequency response, distortion, and dispersion. In each of these, Jubal L65 is superior. But those are objective measurements when only a subjective judgment is necessary. Listening is all that’s needed. The Jubal L65 is a JBL advance into a cleaner, highly sensitive, more open sound with better bass and improved frequency response across the entire audio bandwidth. Articulation, the ability to resolve complex musical passages into individual instruments, is demonstrably better in the L65. With the Jubal L65 reproduction is literal. Reproduction is rebirth. The art has been refined.
