Liner Notes
To help listeners enjoy true emotions out
of their favorite music has always been Pathos
designers’ key objective. A mission that
has been fully accomplished with the newest
Endorphin CD player.
Taking for granted that all components from
the transport to the A/D converter are the
ultimate technology available, Pathos
designers’ commitment has been devoted to
preserving the integrity of the audio signal.
The result is a unique analog stage where
the signal flows naturally, without impediments
and/or artificial manipulations.
If up to now it was relatively easy to set apart
“high definition” from “musical” CD players
(accurate in detail but poor in musicality
and vice-versa, respectively), the Endorphin
establishes a new category of its own.
It is not only perfectly transparent, but also
exquisitely musical and natural. As a result,
the total lack of listening fatigue turns soon
into pure pleasure.
Tubes are there neither for fashion nor to please
those who believe their assumed warmth is
a panacea to digital sources’ assumed coldness.
That would be a manipulation of the signal,
something that’s not allowed at Pathos.
At Pathos, vacuum tubes have always been
used for technical reasons only since they are,
still today, the best known devices for amplifying
voltage. Period.
Finally, a particular attention has been paid
to the power supply, which is made of 12
different independent and dedicated power
supplies, one for each stage.
