Vintage Mcintosh MC240 // Stereo Tube Amplifier / Restored And Upgraded

Perhaps the most iconic vintage tube amplifier, and certainly the most authentic, is the MC240. Originally developed in the late '50s, this unit was produced during the second and final production run, which ended in 1969. These were the last 240's made. This particular piece was manufactured in mid ‘68, and is one of the last to include the line voltage switch on the front. As is common, this unit shows a bit of pitting in the chrome chassis, and some of the lettering is worn, but functionally, it’s better than it left the factory. Both the power supply and the signal path have been rebuilt, and has been finely tuned with high quality, modern caps. You would be hard-pressed to find a 240 for sale in such good condition.
