Your search is over. These KEF have an incredible soundstage, with very crisp response across the curve. In a side by side with the legendary JBL 4425, the KEF provides more clarity, and seems more adept with low-end nuances. With a 92dB sensitivity, the KEF don't need much power to get moving, but once they do, you'll be hooked.

- Liner Notes
- In 1984 KEF introduced the Model 104/2 – a loudspeaker that was to develop a strong reputation around the world for its technical innovation and acoustic performance. Such was its success that it remained in production for over ten years and, following on from the Model 105.2, was further evidence of the technical capability of KEF’s research and development facility which had been progressively developed through the 1970s and 80s.
Model 104/2 was a high output, high sensitivity speaker system possessing exceptional dynamic capability, able to reproduce a very wide dynamic range at high output levels. The optional KEF KUBE equaliser was available to extend the low frequency response down to 20Hz (-6dB, Q=0.5). Technical features included chassis-less midrange units, conjugate load matching and the twin coupled cavity bass reproduction system. A bi-wired version was introduced in 1990 and it was later included in the Raymond Cooke Series along with the Reference Series Models 107/2 and LS3/5A.
