One can really see the hand of Saul Marantz on this piece. The Dahlquist MX-1 was designed to add the DQ-1W subwoofer to the DQ-10. Very uncommon to see these unpaired, yet we imagine there's a collector in need of this piece. Electronically perfect, there is a bit of character around the faceplate and chassis, which fades away at a listening distance. The MX-1 will work with a variety of others systems, but we'd prefer this went to a Dahlquist collector.
