The Klipsch Heresy needs no introduction, and we've done several really interesting pairs in the past. For this pair from '76 (with the rare "laser" badges) we took an understated, classic approach. For the internals, we recapped the crossover with high-end audiophile grade capacitors, and rewired them internally with 18ga silver over copper wire, fitted up to a pair of solid copper Cardas posts. For the aesthetics, we took the cabinets apart, completely refinished them, and countersunk magnets in the baffle board to accept our custom made grilles, wrapped in a beautiful silver and blue. We offset the badges for a truly "if you know, you know" presentation. While a casual observer might see a modest pair of speakers, to the collector, this is obviously a very special pair.

- Liner Notes
The Klipsch Heresy was originally introduced in ’57 as a center channel speaker to go between two Klipschorns in larger rooms. When Paul Klipsch came up with the idea and the design, people told him he couldn’t do it, that it was acoustic heresy. “The hell I can’t,” he said, “and that’s exactly what I’m going to call it.” The resulting Heresy was a 3-way, acoustic suspension (sealed) design with a horn tweeter, horn midrange, and a 12” accordion surround woofer. The design has remained largely intact ever since.
