The KD-5070 is fully automatic turntable on a very heavy plinth, perfect for that impromptu dance party. The dust cover isn't perfect, but the unit has been completely serviced. We recapped the power supply, reflowed several connections, and adjusted the speeds. The arm and cartridge have been aligned and adjusted. It's automatic, but with the selector set to Manual, just put the needle wherever you want, and hit Play. Push Repeat, and your favorite record will spin until you're done. This table is fun.

- Liner Notes
The two-part plinth (cabinet in Kenwood parlance) is a bit different. The top is an anti-resonance compression base (ARCB) made from a mixture of limestone particles, glass powder and unsaturated resin. The bottom is an injection molded base, for a combined weight of over 10 lbs. The resin has a marble appearance to it and gives the KD-5070 a distinct look.
