Building on the celebrated Classic AMP, the AMP II-S incorporates more than a decade of advances developed through Nagra's HD and Reference programs. Nearly every critical element has been reconsidered, from the power supply and input circuitry to the mechanical construction and internal wiring.
Delivering 120 watts per channel into 8 ohms, with the first 10 watts operating in Class A, the AMP II-S combines the delicacy and refinement of low-level listening with the dynamic reserves needed to bring demanding recordings to life.
Its newly developed linear power supply, anchored by a custom 800 VA transformer, provides greater energy reserves and increased headroom. A massive CNC-machined heatsink contributes both thermal stability and mechanical rigidity, while an input stage derived from the Reference AMP helps create a remarkably precise, three-dimensional soundstage.
